 The National Park Gateway Centre“Natures Classroom”
We see Loch Lomond & the Trossachs as a living educational resource, there is no better learning experience than actually being in the place and being able to touch and feel what makes it so special. Our Interpretation Team here at the Gateway Centre includes Inter pretation Staff and Rangers with a range of expertise in leading environmental workshops to learners of all ages. The Gateway Centre offers a series of FREE dedicated workshops which can be tailored to suit the specific learning needs of your class/group. We offer workshops for: - Under 5’s and nursery groups
- Primary and Secondary school pupils working within the 5 – 14 guidelines
- Subject specific workshops for S3 – S6
- Further and Higher Education groups
All our workshops include an introduction to the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and its aims and objectives. Our current programme of workshops includes: · Trees of the National Park · Minibeasts · Vertebrates of the Park · Tourism and Eco-tourism) · Sustainability and Recycling · Mapping, Land Use and Conflicts. However, we offer a fully tailored service and would be more than happy to discuss any workshop/activity ideas that you may have.
